Privacy notice

This website (chrisdemetriou.com) is run by Chris Demetriou, a sole trader based in Greater Manchester, United Kingdom. This notice explains what personal data the site collects, why, and what happens to it.
There are no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of your browsing. The only third party that would set cookies is the embedded YouTube player, and it stays switched off until you allow it. See the cookie policy.
What is collected
Only what you type into the booking form:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your organisation or venue, if you choose to give one
- The type of engagement you select
- Your message
Nothing else is gathered. There is no account, no newsletter, and no profiling.
Why, and on what basis
The information is used solely to read and reply to your enquiry. The lawful basis is legitimate interest — responding to a message you chose to send.
Who handles it
Booking enquiries are read by Chris Demetriou and by the team handling booking correspondence at bookings@chrisdemetriou.com. Your submission is delivered by Web3Forms, a form-delivery service that passes the message to email and does not use it for anything else.
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, which processes limited technical data such as your IP address in order to serve the page. Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google and your IP address is visible to them in the process.
If you choose to load the YouTube player, or follow a link to YouTube, Instagram or TikTok, those services collect data under their own privacy policies. Personal data is never sold.
Storage on your device
The site stores a single value in your browser’s local storage recording whether you allowed or declined third-party embeds, so it does not ask again on every visit. It contains no identifier and never leaves your device. Clearing your browser data removes it.
How long it is kept
Your message is kept only as long as needed to respond and to hold a reasonable record of the correspondence, then deleted.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you may ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data held about you, and you may object to its processing. Write to the address below. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
